Eyector

1. Which is the origin of the name of the band?

The name EYECTOR comes from the systems of ejection of the combat airplanes; this airplanes they allow to save and "ejectar" to the pilot in the event of emergency. Basic means to push up and we take it as something symbolic.

2. Current formation?

Jorge Marro (Voice), German Rodriguez (Drums), Gustavo Scibilia (Bass) re-summoned for Fernando Ullúa; Daniel Bucchieri (Guitar) and Humberto López (Guitar and choirs). To clarify, at the present time the band suffered the estrangement of its voice leader and of the last bassoonist for diverse personal reasons and that we are in the search of the two members to re-begin the pending works.

3. How was the band formed, what changes happened and for which reasons?

The band started up in March of 1993 with another guitar player (Ruben Savino) who went away in June '96 and was re-summoned by Daniel Bucchieri; before a shorter time it was Gustavo Scibilia and Fernando Ullúa entered.

The band was formed by means of warnings in rockers and music houses we forget the friends that collaborated with its contacts.

The changes are never pleasing or comfortable ... appears ideological differences with the projects that are in each one and many times these changes are incomprehensible still for who a while ago see his faces ever. We wait that the one that comes will contribute something better to the band!

4. What style do they make and which their influences are?

Our style is basically the HEAVY METAL, a typical sound of two guitars and voice leader.

The influences are varied in each one, but we could mention Manowar, Black Sabbath, Iron Maiden, Judas Priest, Kiss, Deep Purple, Van Halen, etc. pp. At the moment there are bands that influence in any way: Grave Digger, Dream Theater, Stratovarius, Rhapsody, Rob Halford, Iron Savior, Helloween, etc. One plasm what hears and always one tries to reflect their music.

5. Why do you play Heavy Metal?

As we count it recently in our Video "HISTORY" edited, I began listening to Deep Purple, Led Zeppelin, Rainbow, Kiss, Metallica, Maiden, Judas Priest, etc ... I play for all that inexplicable reasons of wanting to make music somehow and that is something so irresistible that you end up forgetting many things so alone to be in the band, live concert or a stage!

6. What influences of literary, religious or ideological kind do you have?

Literary they are very much, going of the fantastic thing to documentate of the History music, magazines and specialized books.

Religious none for that we find that the religions sometimes divide instead unite and they promote a fatuous fundamentalism ... and resentments among the men.

Our idea goes to make music very heavy, play for who wants to see us and to be very attentive for not being deceived by the reinforcements that swarm among us!

7. What do you try to transmit in your lyrics?

Mainly to be reflected through characters fictious, fighters and warriors; also about the facts that happen in a future city (what is not so distant) and also speaks of the social fight of oppressed people. We try a lyrical one subjective.

8. How do you compose in general?

We start up first with a rhythmic basic, we add lyrics and then we make the retouches so that it is something very armed having the claw and force that we want in our style.

9. What material counts to the band?

All this material is available on request by mail and with prices absolutely accessible, sending their letters and mails to the address at the foot of the report!

10. Do you have problems in playing with groups of other styles?

We don't have big inconveniences in mixing styles, but maybe the biggest problem it is the public or the fans.

It is known that if there plays some band that had generated internal resentments, maybe the boys will not support the mixture with others that are supposed as the enemies or rivals. No it is neither but neither less than the intolerance sometimes generated by the musicians and others. On these cases are sometimes preferable not to mix the points to avoid bigger wrongs!

11. Are there friendly, brothers or friendship between bands or each one his he makes?

Among bands a tacit friendship is sometimes generated and a companionship excellent. We prefer him to be always this way and that we all take ourselves well leaning on each other in that that you do. There are by the way bands to which the only thing that they care is to climb and to go up an imaginary stairway stepping the heads to its road, to care the consequences!

Of solutions we can say nothing, that each person respects the other one and this depends on the education that has each one final ... of bills we are 500 cats that they like this music and we know each other all!!!

12. What do you say of the arrangements in the places to play?

Here the things are the other way than Europe for example; there they pay you to play and to make your art or your occupation (what is to play with your band). The prices vary according to the recognition of the band ... but, they pay you finally!

The mentality in Argentina is another ... pay to the place to be able to play with the excuse of a sound, publicity, etc. and finally of bills the place works due to people that they take the bands and the quality of attention that he has the site. We understand that to the pubs they are charged taxes and they have expenses ... but, this should leave the consumptions and door entrances.

It is that nobody thinks neither he makes respect the transport, practise, expenses and teams of the bands? Here it seems that always the band it should lose and others think of winning to costs of the other ones that he has less convoking.

13. What opinion do you have of the massive means of communication, of the fanzines of the underground and the radios?

As in all the journalistic means there is always who have a tendency in very critical, others very complacents. We prefer an impartial and constructive critic that is good to add and it doesn't stop to subtract and to generate divisions. Of course, this comment is very pretty in the theory, but the Argentineans seem that we are individualistic and mistrust the progress of the other one!

Among other things the big called magazines have other resources and they can publish a material better impressed, to differ of the zines that only count the currencies to make the copies each 3 months. We wish all they can improve and that there is every time but material for same select! We think idem for the radios that contribute its effort to diffuse to the bands and the music; all that effort it is not have economic price.

We are not interested in the qualification in the critical ones and neither we take them as truths absolutely; each one is entitled to say as it seems him, each one should decide that to buy and listen, each one should decide that it is good or bad for if same ... ok, but ...no one gets lost the respect!!!

14. Do you prefer a stamp important record-deal or to be self-managed?

We opt to self-manage us and let us believe EYECTOR PRODUCCIONES, that we can control this way the distribution and diffusion in direct form. From another way maybe there are difficulties in diffusion and press, but exactly that is a lottery that depends on the number of people that you summon and that never prunes it to control convincingly. There are records seals smaller that try with less distance to the bands than they sign a contract with them.

15. What do they believe that it is to be heavy today?

The same thing that years ago ... fight for the life, our music, our front attitude and not to allow us to tramp our rights to be free for anybody!!!

16. How is the "heavy" scene today in your country?

As to all those that little has and however they fight without lowering the arms in spite of the economical situation; fighting for their dear beings and they offer their endurance to the band that they like without nobody can stop them.

17. The Heavy Metal had evolved or has he/she expanded toward other styles?

The Heavy Metal continues being there, but of course there are other styles they have been generated with different structures and composition. In matter it inconveniences me that to the Hardcore the new Heavy Metal tells him ... H.C and H.M. are very different, so much like in the voice like in the harmonizations. It is a very personal and arbitrary tone.

18. What plans do you have for the future?

To continue growing musically as band and to diffuse our material in the country and the world like we have made it until now.

19. Final message?

To greet to all those that supported, followed us and maintain alive the flame of the Metal in their hearts. To all them: Stay Heavies in spite of the difficulties ... it is something that cannot be explained with words, it simply means to live it!
